Fuel Storage Tank RegistrationMCA was retained to complete the registration of various fuel storage tanks owned and operated on First Nations Lands. The project was required to ensure tank systems were registered as per the "Storage tank Systems For Petroleum Products and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations" under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). Fuel Storage Tank - Emergency Response PlansMCA Environmental Management was retained to complete the development, delivery, and completion of site specific emergency response plans for fuel storage tank sites on federal lands in Alberta and NWT. The project required site visits, updates to tank registration information on file, and the development of site specific figures with the location of emergency response equipment identified on them. The project was required to ensure tank systems met the emergency response requirements under section 30 of the "Storage tank Systems For Petroleum Products and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations" under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA).
First Nations Tanks and Waste InventoryMCA provided support services to a client in the development, delivery, completion and evaluation of the INAC fuel storage tank and waste site inventory of First Nation lands in Alberta. Sites across Alberta were documented and recorded in a detailed inventory for submission to INAC. The goal was to raise First Nation awareness of the new "Storage tank Systems For Petroleum Products and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations" under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). Transfer Site Operations PlanMCA was retained to complete the development of an operations plan for a proposed transfer site. The operations plan was required as a condition of the EA approval. Upon completion of the site management logistics, a planning a community awareness program was developed and promoted. MCA coordinated the development of the awareness material and delivery of the training program for local operators on site. Closure Plan ReviewMCA was retained by a working group to complete a third party review of a mine closure plan. MCA worked within the community to learn about the community concerns from a traditional land use perspective and translated those concerns into feedback for the mines consideration in the long term vision for the proposed development. The closure plan is required to meet Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) part VII of the Mining Act Regulations 283/03 “Mine development and Closure under part VII of the Act”. |
